Day 15&16 - Quilling adventure - You win some you lose some

Sorry I did not post yesterday but .. let's just say it was not a good day for quilling, but today was better so I will start to tell you about today's win. Both days started with a adult coloring book ( yes I am guilty, lock me up I have one of does). To be honest with you guys I'm not that fond of it, I don't find it relaxing at all, I think it's the devils making, but It has nice designs / patterns than I think can be made with quilling. So today I choose flower stuffy-thing: Before you ask, yes I killed my color book by ripping the page ( will not make the same mistake like yesterday- tell you more later). This for me is a complicated project and I know I don't want to rush so it will take me more then one night. Started working with my old paper: 0.5 width and 30 cm long ( you know the drill), after some hard work I finish a flower, .... but no rest for me and did some leaves and started another flower... It's starting to look ...

Day 14 - Quilling adventure - Butterfly's and angel

Me did this: How did I do this: 1. Started with cutting the white paper and killing it ( cutting small models in it ) 2. Wanted to do small scrolls on the corner and did this:   3. Glue them on the corners and added a little bit of red 4. Made my first little butterfly. YEY  4. Try to do my second butterfly  but was not what I expected. Added some scrolls. :D TheEND BONUS I know the title say angel and I showed you only butterfly's :P The angel started nice but went sideways, so this is ok: And here it went wrong :D It's an abstract angel, or a angel in my vision.  Now it's really the end.  Bye-bye!

Day 13 - Quilling adventure - Romantic Greeting Card

So today I woke up with a idea... Can you believe it? From the beginning I wanted to do greeting card with quilling and the day has come. I know day 13 is  not lucky you should not try, but I did try and I'm happy I did. Started with my new toys,  perforate thingy : Paper I use 30 cm long and 0.3 cm width: Colors I used where :  - 2 shades of red, - white - black Not like yesterday, today I did all the elements/ coils. And ta-da:  Added a A4 color paper and glued my project on it: It's cute right? :)

Day 12 - Quilling adventure - Why can't I work after templates

Hello! How are you guys? Hope you like what I do here, if not please tell me. Today I wanted to have a relaxing day so I found in a color book a lovely design: Beautiful right? So I started by doing a 3D circle (YEY!!!) Continued with another circle, I want to do a creative buble.  I ended up with these. The look as the template right? Not perfect but acceptable. ...... ..... ..... A couple of ours later: So everything went away from me again. I got distracted and the project was to complicated so hearts make everything better. Tomorrow is weekend and my goal will be to keep a design. Wish me luck! p.s No glue monster today :)

Day1 - Drawing Challenge

Of course I am busy and of course I will start other stuff that maybe I should not, so I decided to start a old challenge that I did last year. Some of the drawings I will compare them with the old ones to se if I god better on drawing or worst. So... the challenge is here:  http://sketchbooknation.com/sketchbook-challenge/   (this is not mine - Free publicity :) ) It is fun because if you don't know hot to do the challenge you have a video that shows you step by step, or just images. Alexandra stop blabing!. .. Day one challenge was a bee: On the left you have the original and the first try last year and on the right the new and improve version  * the first challenge was draw on a smaller draw-book then this ears challenge I will not criticize me, that's your job!

Day 11 - Quilling adventure - Elephant

So today I wanted to do another key ring thing but I did a... Elephant Started with a flower and then I decided to do a elephant so started doing the ears  - learn how to use the comb to make this lovely shape. The rest came to me naturally.  For putting the glue I used a old brush. I was better. I know the elephant doesn't look the best but I put a lot of effort into it. Maybe I will redo it when I become abetter at quilling

Day 10 - Quilling adventure - Horror glue & first key ring

YouTube was a source of inspiration, I saw today some tutorials of how to do with quilling key rings and earrings so me did this:  As you see in the image the Glue Monster came back, but it was my mistake because I did not want to use the toothstick and I use the small weird glue, it was all sticky and spiderweb like, after I washed I still have it under my nails and everywhere. Fun times! So prepare the tools: I started by doing coils together, first I did the nose, ..... then I put the mouth, then the eyes..... then unicorns and stuff. .... . then I remember that i needed something to hang the key ring .... and in the end wash the excess glue from hands and have no idea how to get it off my key ring.

DiY Halloween sticks edition

So I decided today I will do Halloween sticks stuffy stuff.  I wanted to do a ghost, pumpkin and spider.  How did I do It you ask? I have to warn you it was a glue horror movie . for starter you need sticks and glue then start arranging the sticks and start gluing (hope I can sleep tonight) The final glue sticks look like this: After glue has dry turn them over and paint them.  I made for the spider a circle head and for the ghost a half circle add the finishing touch and let to dry I will hang them so rope will be added tomorrow, fun fun fun. Stay tune for quilling post. Coming soon!

Day 9 - Quilling adventure - lots of glitter and 3D objects

So today I got stuff :D. Thank you boyfriend. And GLITTER  So because I got new stuff I wanted to use them. Started with a white paper and added some strips. Made a little sphere and decided to make some petals and transform it into a flower Added some "diamonds" And went nuts :))) yes i know the glitter was a mistake putting it like that but disasters happen Have a great day :) Notes: -  still same quilling paper (30 cm long x 0.5 width) - did not explain exactly how to do the 3D spears and the flower but the internet is full of then

Day 8 - Quilling adventure - from drawing to reality stuff happens

This is the final project: So today I started with a little messy design I made end ended up with something else :D Typical me. See after and before picture: How did I ended up with something else? Started with the red circles and then I decided to make the diamond shape with a empty square coil thing but ended up making a blue flower, everything came easy , did not thing to much about it so simple elements combined. My quilling is still not perfect but it is starting to be more easy and I'm not stressing about the forms and how the coils are ending up. Maybe tomorrow I will to the design I start with. Wish me luck :)
